The UN has actually sided with Israel and agreed that Israel was indeed on its side of the border when Lebanon attacked yesterday, murdering an Israeli soldier.

Now the question is what is the UN going to do about Lebanon's grotesque violations of 1701 - Hezbollah's rearming and this attack on Israel's sovereignty?
And Egypt is now blaming Hamas for last week's rocket attacks against Israel and Jordan that killed one Jordanian.

| Morons who blame Israel for their own stupidity |
[Aug. 2nd, 2010|11:50 am] |
CNN had a story on its main page today about a Hamas commander's home that got blown up. A Palestinian medic took the opportunity to blame Israel: "Most of the injured were women, children and elderly," Hasanain said. "This is a serious Israeli violation and a clear daily escalation, and this reveals the real Israeli intentions."
Never mind that the IDF said it had no operations in that area or that the home belonged to a terrorist, or as CNN put it, a "militant leader." Never mind that Hamas has apparently abandoned its ceasefire as evidenced by the rockets launched at Israel last week. These "work accidents" - the result of these "militants" bringing rockets home to work on/launch - are not uncommon in Gaza. But instead, this medic shot his mouth off to blame Israel without any evidence.
Fortunately, there are lots of comments on the article from people who are not as blind as this medic hopes.
Meanwhile, there's no mention of the rocket attacks on Israel and Jordan that killed one person yesterday. |

| The oppression of Gaza |
[Jul. 18th, 2010|05:39 pm] |
Gaza is turning into an Islamic police state thanks to Hamas.
The AP reports that the terrorist group has now banned women from smoking water pipes.
Women cannot ride motorbikes, are forced to wear headscarves, men cannot wear shorts, and don't even try to be gay in Gaza, it's not allowed. And if you're walking down the street with a woman you're not married to? Forget it.
Plainclothes officers frequently stop couples walking in the streets, demanding to see marriage licenses. Some residents say they have been interrogated, even beaten, on suspicion they are gay or had extramarital sex. Six young men told The Associated Press that they were all harassed by plainclothes agents who demanded they move away from women they were walking with, because they weren't married. One man said he was detained and slapped around. Human rights activist Subhiya Juma said she is aware of hundreds of similar cases. An Internet cafe owner said he was ordered to ban women from his establishment last year after another plainclothes agent saw women smoking inside. Two other Gaza cafe owners said they asked men and women to sit at separate tables to avoid harassment by Hamas police. |

| When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie |

I'm running my first 5k race tomorrow. So of course I'm making a pizza now.
Bought a ready made crust. Brushed it with olive oil. Covered with marinara sauce and sprinkled liberally with crushed garlic. Then a layer of pizza cheese (mozz and cheddar mix), then placed slices of tomato across and sprinkled with grated parmesan and romano and then basil and organo. Topped with some more pizza cheese and some feta. Should end up being very tasty. |
